Driving
I'll be absolutely honest with you, I don't know much about driving with a disability outside the UK, but would imagine it is more than possible.
If you were born with the disability or never applied for a driving licence before, then getting your driving licence can turn into a wild goose-chase until someone eventually tells you to guess. Yep, that's right, guess. When you apply, they'll ask you what adaptation you will need, but of course, if you have never driven before, you'll not know the required adaptations needed to drive, and you can't get assessed without a licence. This loophole is frustrating, you have DVLA telling you they'll not send a licence out until you are assessed, and the RDAC (Regional Driving Assessment Centre) telling you they cannot assess you without a licence. This is why, for this form it is best to guess with the DVLA and update it once you have passed your test. |
